Kishani Mathiasz Woldberhan
Child Care Business Coach
Kishani Mathiasz Woldberhan was born and raised in Sri Lanka, where she began her career as a Montessori teacher. She came to the U.S. through the J-1 Montessori Teacher Exchange Program, worked in a California Montessori school, and later relocated to Texas, where she purchased her first child care center in 2013. She entered the industry with no network and no system knowledge, learning licensing, compliance, and operations from zero while running everything by hand.
The turning point came at a steep cost. Opening a second center exposed how inconsistent her operations really were, and a brain aneurysm forced an absence that revealed a hard truth: the business could not function without her. The problem was never effort. It was the lack of structure.
Today Kishani is a systems strategist. She helps owners document every process, standardize across locations, train teams on repeatable systems, and build leadership layers so growth no longer depends on one exhausted person. She connects best with growth-oriented owners ready to implement and lead. A multi-location operator and international speaker, she stands for one belief: child care is a profession, not babysitting.
Signature line: “You cannot scale what only exists in your head.”
